Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

1 can Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. Ground black pepper
4 cups cooked cut green beans
1 1/3 cups French Fried Onion Rings

Method

This green bean casserole recipe is one of the most popular casseroles in the US. It's a quick and easy recipe to make and it's delicious, one of my favorites!

Combine the soup, milk, soy, black pepper, green beans and 2/3 cup onions in 1 1/2-qt. casserole dish. Bake the casserole in the oven for 25 min. at 350F.

Remove the casserole from the oven and give it a slight stir. Sprinkle the rest of the onion rings on top of the casserole and bake another 5 minutes.

TIP:

1 16 to 20 oz. bag frozen green beans = ~4 cups
2 9 oz. pkg. frozen green beans = ~4 cups
2 16 oz. canned green beans = ~4 cups
1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans = ~4 cups

Alternatives:

Use a 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese with soup but don't use the soy sauce. Sprinkle the top with 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese when adding the remaining onions.

Stir in 1/4 cup chopped red pepper for color.
